UNITE began in 2013 because of the vison of a few students: Jacob Pierce, Caroline Bowlin Kidd and Tyler Peppers. Jacob, who was involved in the ATO Fraternity, a member the BCM Leadership Team, and a Student Host with the BCM led the weekly Bible Study. Tyler was a fellow ATO member and Caroline was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. Tyler and Caroline provided leadership for the weekly meetings and discussion groups. They soon invited others to be a part of the leadership of UNITE. God blessed their efforts tremendously. UNITE now meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 at the BCM Building located at 1216 15th Street South (next door to the UAB Police Station). The gatherings consist of worship, a message and a few snacks afterwards. We are thrilled that Shades Moutain Baptist Church and BCM partner together in this ministry effort. The meetings are open to any student who is involved in Greek life (and their invited guests) at the universities and colleges in the Birmingham area.
