"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20 (NASB)
"The Great Commission is Christ’s final command and our call to worship. It is the culmination of Jesus’s life and teachings—how He prepared His followers to become disciples and thereby make disciples. . . In the original Greek language, the word translated make disciples is from the Greek word matheteusate and is the only imperative verb in the Great Commission. The words go, baptizing, and teaching are participles. This doesn’t take away from the urgency and imperative force of go, baptizing, and teaching, but they are the “how to” of our ultimate purpose: to make disciples."*
BCM gives students the opportunity to be a disciple and lead other students to become disciples. Students will participate in Missions (Going), Baptizing (Evangelism/Proclamation) and Teaching the observance of the commands of Christ Jesus (Discipleship). This will lead you to be Great Commission Christians for the entirety of your lives.
